Top Navigation and Maps Apps on iOS in UAE - Q3 2025

The third quarter of 2025 witnessed notable trends in the performance of the top navigation and maps applications on the iOS platform in the United Arab Emirates. Data insights provided by Sensor Tower reveal varying patterns in downloads, revenue, and active users across these popular apps.

Google Maps showed a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, peaking at around 28K in mid-August and then gradually declining to approximately 19K by the end of September. The app's weekly active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 1.4M throughout the quarter. Revenue saw occasional spikes, reaching a high of $9 in late August.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a steady increase in weekly downloads, culminating at over 10K in early September. Active users consistently rose from 290K to over 360K by the end of the quarter, although revenue remained negligible.

Google Earth experienced a surge in downloads towards the end of September, reaching 4.2K. Meanwhile, active users fluctuated slightly, closing the quarter at around 30K.

2GIS: Offline Map & Navigation had a relatively stable download rate, with a small increase towards the quarter's end, peaking at nearly 2K. Active users hovered around 40K, with no significant revenue reported.

Qibla Compass (Kaaba Locator) saw modest download numbers, peaking at 1.7K in late July. Despite a decline in active users to around 1K by the end of September, revenue reached a high of $36 in the final week.
